Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently two years through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the first significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously consider lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
